4seven is Channel 4’s catch-up channel. It commissions nothing. What it does instead is take whatever from across the Channel 4 stable (Channel 4, E4, More4 and Film4) got people talking over the previous seven days and put it out again, which is where the name comes from.

It launched on 4 July 2012, Channel 4’s first new linear channel since More4 in 2005, and the premise hasn’t changed since. Everything in the table below has already gone out somewhere else on the network.

Thursday’s daytime opens with American Pickers at 9am, then Find It, Fix It, Flog It at 10am and Saving Country Houses with Penelope Keith at 11am, before A Place in the Sun takes over at midday and repeats twice more, at 1pm and 2pm. Come Dine with Me runs five episodes from the same Barnsley week between 3pm and 5pm, then A Place in the Sun rounds off the daytime schedule with two further editions back to back at 5:30pm and 6pm, the second of which carries straight into primetime.

Overnight opens with Gogglebox at 12:05am, followed by the true-crime documentary Social Media Monsters at 1:05am and Crime Scene Cleaners at 2:10am. Naked Attraction takes the 3:10am slot, Surgery Secrets of the Super Rich follows at 4:10am, and teleshopping fills the schedule from 5am through to 9am.

Jasmine Harman is in Murcia with Debra and Greg, who want a holiday place in the countryside there and would eventually like to live in it full time. Their budget is £150,000, which in this part of Spain stretches further than most buyers expect.

Extraordinary Extensions — 4seven, 7pm

Two builds, both stubborn. A couple bolt a deliberately clashing extension onto a former B&B in Canterbury, and in Nottingham a Miss Vintage UK finalist reworks a dormer bungalow into something closer to a 1960s film set than a suburban house.

Martin & Roman’s Irish Road Trip — 4seven, 8pm

The 8pm hour belongs to Martin & Roman’s Irish Road Trip (series 1, episode 1).

24 Hours in A&E — 4seven, 9pm

Three patients arrive at Queen’s in very different states. Anita is 44 and was brought in after her heart stopped at home. Bob, at 94, has taken a blow to the head. Lottie is five, and hurt her leg while dancing with her mum.

Celebrity Hunted — 4seven, 10pm & 11pm

Celebrity Hunted runs two editions back to back to close the night (series 7, episodes 3 and 4). The 10pm hour finds an escape plan taking shape in Brighton while a pair of fugitives try tapping into a military network for intel; by 11pm the hunters have one team surrounded at a country hotel, with another pair risking exposure at a birthday party.

Gogglebox and Celebrity Gogglebox turn up constantly, alongside whatever drama or documentary dominated the week. Miss something on a Tuesday and there’s a decent chance it’s back by Friday.

Property and renovation favourites

Property does most of the heavy lifting. A Place in the Sun, Grand Designs and George Clarke’s Remarkable Renovations all repeat well, partly because the audience for them doesn’t much mind having seen the episode before. Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids sits in the same bracket, though it’s family factual rather than a competition.
