4seven is Channel 4’s catch-up channel. It commissions nothing. What it does instead is take whatever from across the Channel 4 stable (Channel 4, E4, More4 and Film4) got people talking over the previous seven days and put it out again, which is where the name comes from.

It launched on 4 July 2012, Channel 4’s first new linear channel since More4 in 2005, and the premise hasn’t changed since. Everything in the table below has already gone out somewhere else on the network, though not always at the same distance behind. Celebrity Pottery Throw Down — 4seven, 7:45pm

The final of the series, hosted by Liza Tarbuck. The four remaining celebrities make a dessert trifle set and then tackle a surprise throwing challenge, with Keith Brymer Jones and Rich Miller deciding who wins.

Grand Designs — 4seven, 9pm

Kevin McCloud goes back to Chris and Gill’s disused textile mill near Huddersfield, which he first filmed in 2001, to see how the conversion has held up after about 25 years. Sources disagree on the series and episode number, so it is named here by its content.

Geordie Coppers — 4seven, 10pm

A police documentary from the north east. PC Jude notices a car tied to an organised crime gang, and Sergeant Matt has to judge whether it is safe to stop and search it.

Ramsay’s Hotel Hell — 4seven, 11pm

Gordon Ramsay visits the Hotel Chester in Starkville, Mississippi, a struggling business where one owner is cooking without any formal catering training. It is series 2, episode 4.
