I’m a Celebrity is not in the current schedule. The 2026 series is expected to start on Monday 16 November at 9pm on ITV1. That date was reported in August and ITV has not confirmed it yet.
I’m a Celebrity 2026: Start Date, Line-Up and How to Watch
Ant and Dec’s jungle reality show has been on ITV since 2002. About a dozen well-known names spend roughly three weeks in a camp in the Australian rainforest, taking Bushtucker Trials to earn food while viewers vote on who stays, until one is crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.
This page is rebuilt every day from the published broadcast schedule, so the answer above is the current one rather than whatever was true when it was written.
When does I’m a Celebrity 2026 start?
ITV has not yet confirmed a start date for the 26th series. A report in August 2026 said it would launch on Monday 16 November at 9pm on ITV1, which would break with tradition: the series almost always opens on a Sunday night. Until ITV publishes the date, treat that as a report rather than a fact.
The pattern from the last decade makes mid-November close to certain. Series 15 to 25 all launched in November, and all but one of them (2022) between the 13th and the 21st. The 2025 series began on Sunday 16 November 2025.
Ant and Dec are signed up for it. When ITV extended their contract on 22 December 2025, to run until the end of 2028, the announcement listed a new series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! among their 2026 shows.
Who is in the 2026 line-up?
No campmates have been officially announced. Every year the newspapers run lists of names said to be heading to the jungle, and some of them turn out to be right, but ITV usually confirms the line-up only in the week before launch.
We will add the confirmed campmates here once ITV names them. Late arrivals are common too: Tom Read Wilson and Vogue Williams joined a few days into the 2025 series, and Tom went on to finish second.
Who presents I’m a Celebrity?
Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have presented every series since the show began in 2002, with one exception. In 2018 Ant took a break from television and Holly Willoughby stood in alongside Dec.
Where is it filmed?
The camp is in the rainforest near Murwillumbah in northern New South Wales, Australia, close to Springbrook National Park. The show has been made there for most of its history. The two exceptions were 2020 and 2021, when pandemic travel limits moved production to Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales. It returned to Australia in 2022.
How the show works
Around a dozen well-known faces live in a basic jungle camp for three weeks, cooking on an open fire and sleeping outdoors, with cameras on them throughout.
Bushtucker Trials
Each day one or more campmates take a Bushtucker Trial: an eating challenge, a test of nerve with insects, snakes and water, or a physical task. Every star won earns a meal for the camp. Anyone can quit a trial at any point by shouting “I’m a celebrity, get me out of here!”, but they lose whatever stars they had collected. Since 2019 the eating trials have not used live bugs. From 2025, viewers could not vote the same person into a trial more than two days in a row.
Voting
Early in the run viewers vote for who should face the trials. Later, the votes decide who stays, and campmates leave one by one until the final, when the public chooses the King or Queen of the Jungle. In 2025 ITV dropped paid phone and text votes. Voting was free and was done through the official app or on ITV’s website.
Daily episodes
There is an episode every night of the series, built around the previous day’s trial, camp arguments and tasks. Most go out at 9pm on ITV1 (STV in Scotland), and every episode is on ITVX afterwards. Check the ITV1 TV guide on the night, because football and other big events can shift the start.
How long it runs and when the final is
A normal series runs for about three weeks and around 22 episodes, and the final lands on a Sunday in early December. The 2025 final was on 7 December and drew an audience of more than six million. The 2022 series was the odd one out: it ran from 6 to 27 November to avoid clashing with the Qatar World Cup.
If the reported 16 November date is right, a three-week run would end in early December 2026, but ITV has not published a date for the final.

The companion show: I’m a Celebrity: Unpacked
The main show has had a sister programme for most of its life, under several names. In 2025 it was I’m a Celebrity: Unpacked, presented by Joel Dommett and Kemi Rodgers, which covered the day’s events and talked to campmates after they left. It went out on ITV2 and ITVX. ITV has not yet said whether it returns for 2026; if it does, it will show up in the ITV2 TV guide.
Not the same as I’m a Celebrity… South Africa
I’m a Celebrity… South Africa is a separate spin-off, filmed in South Africa, that brings back campmates from earlier series for a second go. It first aired in 2023, and its second series ran on ITV1 in April 2026. If you watched a jungle show in the spring, that was the spin-off. The November series is the original, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, filmed in Australia.
