4seven TV Guide: Listings, Schedule & What’s On 4seven Tonight

ChannelsDaily TV Guide
Tonight at a Glance 6 programmes · 6pm–1am

4seven is Channel 4’s catch-up channel. It commissions nothing. What it does instead is take whatever from across the Channel 4 stable (Channel 4, E4, More4 and Film4) got people talking over the previous seven days and put it out again, which is where the name comes from.

It launched on 4 July 2012, Channel 4’s first new linear channel since More4 in 2005, and the premise hasn’t changed since. Everything in the table below has already gone out somewhere else on the network. Tonight, Monday 24 August 2026, A Place in the Sun runs a teatime pair at 5:30pm and 6pm before Grand Designs takes the 7pm hour, Renovation Rescue follows at 8pm, Gogglebox settles in at 9pm and Love You to Death closes the night with the first two parts of its three-part run, back to back at 10pm and 11pm. There’s no film tonight, unlike some evenings on this channel.

What’s on 4seven today

Monday’s schedule opens overnight with the 2023 crime comedy Sumotherhood at 1:50am and an episode of The Dog House at 3:50am, before two stretches of Teleshopping either side of 7am carry the channel through to 9am.

American Pickers and Find It, Fix It, Flog It take the 9am and 10am hours, then The Great B&B Challenge closes out its own run at 11am with the judges picking a finalist. From midday, A Place in the Sun runs three editions back to back — Lanzarote, Roquetas de Mar and Puerto del Carmen — before Come Dine with Me takes over for the rest of the afternoon. It’s the Bristol week, and all five editions run from 3pm to 5pm: theatre performer Richard Hope-Hawkins, primary school teacher Laura Ford, food critic Darryl Bullock, then Zoe Kellaway, before Andy Wright hosts the deciding black-tie party at 5pm. A fourth and fifth A Place in the Sun, in Mojácar and near La Duquesa, carry the schedule from 5:30pm into tonight’s primetime run.

4seven tonight — primetime and the evening schedule

Here’s the 4seven primetime line-up for tonight, Monday 24 August 2026. There’s no film in the schedule this evening.

A Place in the Sun — 4seven, 5:30pm and 6pm

A teatime pair opens the evening. At 5:30pm, Lee Juggurnauth helps Christine and Howard hunt for a place in the Almería town of Mojácar, southern Spain, on a £50,000 budget. At 6pm, Laura Hamilton takes over to help Jan and her son Jordan look near La Duquesa on the Costa del Sol.

Grand Designs — 4seven, 7pm

This repeat, from series 25, follows Zara and Giuliano as they attempt a sprawling Lincolnshire build modelled on an old malthouse. It runs into trouble almost immediately, which is usually when Grand Designs is at its most watchable.

Renovation Rescue — 4seven, 8pm

A South Wales family have been living inside a building site for eighteen months by the time hosts Vogue Williams and Luke Mabbott turn up to try to get them over the finish line.

Gogglebox — 4seven, 9pm

The regular cast work through the week’s television, including Stranger Things, Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Scam Interceptors.

Love You to Death — 4seven, 10pm and 11pm

The first two parts of a three-part true-crime documentary run back to back, examining Lisa Hayden-Johnson and claims that her son Matthew’s illnesses were fabricated. The 10pm hour lays out the original suspicions; by 11pm, Matthew is confronting the truth about his own health while his mother faces the prospect of prison. The final part has not aired yet.

What kind of shows are on 4seven

The week’s biggest talking points, repeated

Gogglebox and Celebrity Gogglebox turn up constantly, alongside whatever drama or documentary dominated the week. Miss something earlier in the week and there’s a decent chance it’s back on 4seven within a few days.

Property and renovation favourites

Property does most of the heavy lifting. A Place in the Sun, Grand Designs and George Clarke’s Remarkable Renovations all repeat well, partly because the audience for them doesn’t much mind having seen the episode before. Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids sits in the same bracket, though it’s family factual rather than a competition.

Panel shows, food formats and factual filler

The rest of the day is 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Come Dine with Me, and clip-led factual like Car S.O.S and American Pickers. Cheap to re-run, all of it.

How to watch 4seven

Channel numbers

Here’s where to find 4seven across the main UK television platforms:

Platform Channel
Freeview 49
Sky 137
Virgin Media 143
Freesat 127

4seven is free on all of the above platforms, with no subscription required. As with any Freeview or Freesat channel, your on-screen guide is the definitive source if your box shows a different number.

Streaming online

4seven streams live and free at channel4.com/now/4s and via the Channel 4 app on smart TVs, iOS, Android and Amazon Fire TV. You’ll need a free Channel 4 account, which costs nothing to set up. Many of the individual shows that have aired on 4seven also turn up on demand through Channel 4’s streaming platform, though not everything broadcast stays available indefinitely.

4seven sister channels

4seven is one of four channels in the Channel 4 network, all run by Channel Four Television Corporation. Channel 4 itself carries the original commissions everyone talks about first. E4 leans younger, with US imports and reality formats. More4 handles the documentaries and factual output, a fair amount of which ends up back on 4seven in the daytime. Film4 is the film channel.

Verdict

4seven does one job. It’s the closest thing British television has to a weekly highlights reel, and it costs nothing. The 7pm to 10pm run is where it earns its place; the daytime is filler for anyone who likes property shows and dinner parties.

Tonight’s line-up pairs two editions of A Place in the Sun at teatime before Grand Designs takes the 7pm hour, Renovation Rescue follows at 8pm, Gogglebox holds its usual 9pm slot and Love You to Death runs the opening two parts of its three-part run at 10pm and 11pm, with the final instalment still to come. The daytime runs the same trick as ever, with a five-episode Come Dine with Me week and three further A Place in the Sun repeats filling the morning and afternoon. Every one of them is a second pass at something the network already broadcast earlier in the week.

TV Radar Team is the byline on TV Radar's automatically generated TV guides — covering BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1, Channel 4, Channel 5 and beyond. Each evening's schedule is built from the published listings (titles, start times, run lengths and episode numbers) and checked against our listings data before publication, so you can decide in two minutes what to record and what to skip. These guides are generated automatically rather than written by hand; a human editor spot-checks them, but not every page is read before it goes live. Based in London, updated every day.
