Monday’s overnight keeps to true crime and reality repeats: Killer on the Run opens at 12:55am (series 1, episode 5), followed by Sleeping with My Murderer at 1:55am (series 1, episode 2) and Skin A&E at 2:45am (series 7, episode 5). A single Friends repeat closes out the night at 3:30am (series 10, episode 11), before Teleshopping holds the schedule through to 7am.

Shop: Must Have Ideas and eFOLDi Mobility Scooters open the shopping hour from 7am, then Bargain-Loving Brits in the Sun runs back-to-back at 8am and 9am (series 14, episodes 1 and 2). GPs: Behind Closed Doors — 5Star, 7pm

The surgery is back for a ninth series, and this is the opener. Three patients carry the hour: Damian, with a growth on his eyelid he would rather not look at; Lorena, convinced her daughter Emma has stopped breathing properly in her sleep; and Peter, living with pain he can no longer manage. It is a format 5Star has leaned on for years, and it still works because the consulting room does the storytelling for it.

Casualty 24/7: Every Second Counts — 5Star, 8pm

South Yorkshire’s emergency department, series seven, episode two. Cardiac cases, injuries from road collisions and a severe allergic reaction come through the doors across the hour.

Ambulance: Code Red — 5Star, 9pm

Two jobs dominate. A woman in her sixties is trapped in her car after a crash, and the crew cannot tell how badly she is hurt until they reach her; a man in his thirties has been stabbed in the neck and face. The series has always been more interested in the decisions made at the roadside than in what happens afterwards.

A&E After Dark — 5Star, 10pm

A cyclist arrives after a collision with a car, a man is brought in under police escort having apparently taken an overdose, and another patient needs his chin stitched after coming off his bike.

Skin A&E — 5Star, 11pm

The dermatology clinic closes the night. Dr Adil takes on a cyst its owner has spent months hiding beneath a hat, Dr Dev removes a lipoma from a detective, and Dr Emma works through growths on a cheek and on a ribcage. Not one to watch over dinner.

This is where 5Star has its own patch. Nightmare Tenants, Slum Landlords and its spin-off Extreme Nightmare Tenants follow eviction specialists and rogue-landlord investigations, while Call the Bailiffs: Time to Pay Up! turns the same doorstep tension towards unpaid debt.
