The unexplained material is lighter, fine as entertainment provided you don’t go to it for evidence. The pawn shops and storage lockers ask nothing of you, which some evenings is the whole appeal.

Tonight leans into the ancient-history side of that mix rather than the paranormal: once the Storage Wars Texas double wraps at 7pm, the rest of the evening is archaeology and ancient Egypt, from the jungle and desert digs of Secrets in the Jungle and Secrets in the Sand through to The Lost City of Ramses II and Queens of Ancient Egypt, before William Shatner closes the night with The UnXplained. It’s a more focused schedule than Blaze usually runs, with the daytime doing the heavy lifting on variety — Hardcore Pawn, Pawn Stars Do America, Container Wars and Junk & Disorderly all get a run before Storage Wars Texas takes over the back half of the afternoon.
