EntertainmentBlaze is a free-to-air factual channel that has run on Freeview since September 2016. Its schedule runs from military history documentaries to ancient-mystery programming, and factual entertainment formats set in pawn shops and storage units fill much of the rest of the day. Tonight, Monday 24 August 2026, the channel’s strongest hour is its last three: three separate digs, back to back, from 9pm to midnight. Junk & Disorderly opens the evening at 6pm, Dickinson’s Real Deal takes two straight hours at 7pm and 8pm, then Secrets in the Sand, Secrets in the Dark and Field of Vampires carry the schedule through to close.

What’s on Blaze today
Monday’s schedule opens overnight with The UnXplained at midnight and Strange Evidence at 1am, then a Court Cam double at 2am and 2:30am and three episodes of The Great British Dig from 3am to 5am. Breakfast brings Dickinson’s Real Deal at 6am and Pawn Stars Do America at 6:45am, followed by a Storage Wars Canada double from 7:30am and a Storage Hunters double from 8:25am.
Junk & Disorderly then runs four episodes back to back from 9:20am to 1:05pm, all billed as part of Henry and Sam’s Wreck-trospective, before Pawn Stars Do America repeats at 1:05pm. Storage Wars Canada returns for a second double bill at 2:05pm and 2:35pm, and Ancient Aliens holds the 3pm hour with two episodes running through to 5pm, ahead of We Are Not Alone closing out the early evening.
Blaze tonight — primetime and the evening schedule
Here’s the Blaze primetime line-up for tonight, Monday 24 August 2026. The evening builds towards its real selling point after 9pm: three separate archaeological digs, one straight after another, closing out the night.
Junk & Disorderly: Henry and Sam’s Wreck-trospective — Blaze, 6pm
Vintage restorers Henry and Sam wrap up their day of hunting for profitable motoring junk with a visit to an emporium (series 1, episode 6). It’s a repeat of the episode shown at 12:10pm, the last of four instalments the channel has run since 9:20 this morning.
Dickinson’s Real Deal — Blaze, 7pm and 8pm
David Dickinson gets two hours in a row tonight, series 9 episodes 62 and 63, as sellers weigh up a dealer’s cash offer against risking the item at auction. The format hasn’t changed in years and doesn’t need to.
Secrets In The Sand — Blaze, 9pm
A new episode opens the night’s archaeology run: a mummy buried with what’s described as an anguished expression, and the source of Sumerian power uncovered in a buried Iraqi palace (series 2, episode 7).
Secrets In The Dark — Blaze, 10pm
The second new episode of the block heads to China for the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, the country’s first emperor and one of archaeology’s most closely guarded sites (series 1, episode 7).
Field Of Vampires — Blaze, 11pm
Polish archaeologists dig up a skeleton buried face down with a sickle laid across her neck and a padlock fastened to her toe, burial customs meant to stop the dead from rising. It’s billed as the first of two parts, though the schedule hasn’t flagged it as a series premiere.
What kind of shows are on Blaze
Military and world history documentaries
This is the strand worth setting a reminder for, and it rewards anyone who has already worked through the more familiar documentaries elsewhere. Hitler’s Engineers and U-Boat Wargamers go after corners of the Second World War that don’t get the rotation the D-Day landings and the Battle of Britain do, and both are made with more care than the channel’s reputation would lead you to expect.
Ancient mysteries and the unexplained
Ancient Aliens, The UnXplained with William Shatner, Weird Britain and MonsterQuest account for more hours than anything else on Blaze. The evidence base is viral footage, satellite imagery and eyewitness account rather than anything that has been through review. Watch accordingly.
Factual entertainment and reality
Storage Wars Canada, Pawn Stars and Dickinson’s Real Deal hold the daytime. Ordinary people, real money, modest budgets, and nobody involved pretending it is anything more than that.
How to watch Blaze
Channel numbers
| Platform | Channel |
|---|---|
| Freeview | 64 |
| Freeview +1 | 92 |
| Sky HD | 156 |
| Sky Glass / Sky Stream | 169 |
| Virgin Media | 174 |
| Freesat | 161 |
Blaze is free on all of the above platforms, with no subscription required. Virgin Media and Freesat channel numbers may vary slightly depending on your box and region, so your on-screen guide is the definitive source if these don’t match.
Streaming online
Blaze streams live and free at watch.blaze.tv and via the free BLAZE app on iOS, Android, Amazon Fire TV and select smart TVs. No account, subscription or payment card is needed to watch the live stream.
Blaze streaming and catch-up
Blaze runs a Freeview +1 timeshift channel on 92, which is useful when you land on the 9pm show twenty minutes in and would rather start it properly. There is no +1 on Sky, Virgin or Freesat, so Freeview is the only route to a delayed watch.
The BLAZE app and website also carry a real catch-up library rather than a token one. New episodes are typically added daily and stay on demand for around 30 days.

Verdict
Blaze knows what it is and doesn’t oversell it, which on most nights is enough. The military history slot is the reason to keep the channel in mind at all: Hitler’s Engineers would hold its own two hundred channel numbers lower down. The unexplained material is lighter, fine as entertainment provided you don’t go to it for evidence. The pawn shops and storage lockers ask nothing of you, which some evenings is the whole appeal.
Tonight leans hard into that ancient-history strand: once Dickinson’s Real Deal wraps at 9pm, three separate digs run one after another to close the night, from a mummy in the sand and a Sumerian palace in Iraq through to the tomb of China’s first emperor and a suspected vampire burial in Poland. It’s a tighter, more focused evening than Blaze often runs, with the daytime doing the work on variety instead — Storage Wars Canada, Storage Hunters, Junk & Disorderly and Ancient Aliens all get a slot before the schedule narrows in for the night.
