What’s on Blaze today
Friday’s schedule opens overnight with The Curse Of Oak Island at midnight and We Are Not Alone at 1am, then a new episode of Killer Britain at 2am and an earlier Junk & Disorderly: Henry and Sam’s Wreck-trospective outing at 3am, before three straight episodes of Hardcore Pawn run from 3:45am. Dickinson’s Real Deal takes the 5am and 6am slots, a Pawn Stars double follows from 6:45am, a Storage Wars Canada double runs from 7:30am and a Storage Hunters double follows from 8:25am.
Storage Wars Texas then holds the whole late morning and into lunchtime, with eight episodes running back to back from 9:20am to 12:35pm. The same Pawn Stars pair from earlier repeats at 1:05pm and 1:35pm, Storage Wars Canada returns for a second double bill at 2:05pm and 2:35pm, Ancient Aliens takes two episodes from 3:05pm to 5pm, and the documentary UFOs: Secret Missions Exposed closes out the afternoon at 5pm, ahead of Junk & Disorderly: Henry and Sam’s Wreck-trospective opening the evening proper at 6pm.
Blaze tonight — primetime and the evening schedule
Here’s the Blaze primetime line-up for tonight, Friday 28 August 2026.
Junk & Disorderly: Henry and Sam’s Wreck-trospective — Blaze, 6pm
Henry Cole and Sam Lovegrove open the evening at the Classic Motor Show in Birmingham, hunting through stalls of automobilia for the pieces worth taking home. It’s the tenth outing for the strand, and the pairing of Cole’s motoring know-how with Lovegrove’s eye for a bargain is what carries it.
Dickinson’s Real Deal — Blaze, 7pm
David Dickinson opens a fresh hour of dealing at 7pm, sellers weighing up a dealer’s offer against the gamble of the saleroom.
Dickinson’s Real Deal — Blaze, 8pm
A second fresh episode follows straight after at 8pm — not a repeat of the earlier 5am and 6am pair, a different set of sellers and items entirely.
My Strange Arrest — Blaze, 9pm
Series two of My Strange Arrest lands at 9pm with Ride Or Die, the first of a same-night opening double bill. The format hasn’t changed — real arrests told with a knowing, slightly incredulous tone — but a second series getting a proper launch is rare enough on Blaze to be worth flagging. This is the channel’s only genuine premiere tonight alongside ITV1’s headline drama.
My Strange Arrest — Blaze, 9:30pm
The second half of the launch follows immediately at 9:30pm with I Have to Poop!, keeping the run-up momentum from the opener rather than making viewers wait a week for the follow-up.
What On Earth? — Blaze, 10pm
At 10pm, investigators look into circles of flattened ground appearing in remote Swedish tundra, weighing a theory that ties the pattern back to fallout from Chernobyl.
What On Earth? — Blaze, 11pm
The night closes at 11pm with a different puzzle: an island off the Mexican coast vanishes, and officials try to work out where it went.
What kind of shows are on Blaze
Military and world history documentaries
This is the strand worth setting a reminder for, and it rewards anyone who has already worked through the more familiar documentaries elsewhere. Hitler’s Engineers and U-Boat Wargamers go after corners of the Second World War that don’t get the rotation the D-Day landings and the Battle of Britain do, and both are made with more care than the channel’s reputation would lead you to expect.
Ancient mysteries and the unexplained
Ancient Aliens, The UnXplained with William Shatner, Weird Britain and MonsterQuest account for more hours than anything else on Blaze. The evidence base is viral footage, satellite imagery and eyewitness account rather than anything that has been through review. Watch accordingly.
Factual entertainment and reality
Storage Wars Canada, Pawn Stars and Dickinson’s Real Deal hold the daytime. Ordinary people, real money, modest budgets, and nobody involved pretending it is anything more than that.
How to watch Blaze
Channel numbers
| Platform | Channel |
|---|---|
| Freeview | 64 |
| Freeview +1 | 92 |
| Sky HD | 156 |
| Sky Glass / Sky Stream | 169 |
| Virgin Media | 174 |
| Freesat | 161 |
Blaze is free on all of the above platforms, with no subscription required. Virgin Media and Freesat channel numbers may vary slightly depending on your box and region, so your on-screen guide is the definitive source if these don’t match.
Streaming online
Blaze streams live and free at watch.blaze.tv and via the free BLAZE app on iOS, Android, Amazon Fire TV and select smart TVs. No account, subscription or payment card is needed to watch the live stream.
Blaze streaming and catch-up
Blaze runs a Freeview +1 timeshift channel on 92, which is useful when you land on the 9pm show twenty minutes in and would rather start it properly. There is no +1 on Sky, Virgin or Freesat, so Freeview is the only route to a delayed watch.
The BLAZE app and website also carry a real catch-up library rather than a token one. New episodes are typically added daily and stay on demand for around 30 days.

Verdict
Blaze knows what it is and doesn’t oversell it, which on most nights is enough. The military history slot is the reason to keep the channel in mind at all: Hitler’s Engineers would hold its own two hundred channel numbers lower down. The unexplained material is lighter, fine as entertainment provided you don’t go to it for evidence. The pawn shops and storage lockers ask nothing of you, which some evenings is the whole appeal.
Dickinson’s Real Deal fills the 7pm and 8pm hours with fresh episodes rather than repeats of the 5am/6am pair, and once it wraps, series two of My Strange Arrest gets a proper same-night launch at 9pm — a genuine event by Blaze’s usual standards, where most of the schedule is repeats and daytime strands. What On Earth? closes the night with a Swedish tundra mystery and a vanishing Mexican island. The daytime still carries the usual variety, with Storage Wars Canada, Storage Hunters, Storage Wars Texas and Ancient Aliens all getting a slot before the schedule settles into its evening groove.
