What’s on GREAT! Action today
Teleshopping runs until 9am, when Raiders Of The Lost Art opens the day proper, a documentary strand digging into art-world mysteries; this episode covers the 1911 theft of the Mona Lisa from the Louvre, the accusations that landed on Pablo Picasso, and the lost da Vinci works recovered since. Murder Maps takes the 10am slot for its second episode of the series, a serial killer stalking the blacked-out streets of Blitz-era London.
We Dive at Dawn takes the 11am slot for two hours straight through: a 1943 submarine drama starring John Mills, whose crew close in on a German battleship, then run short of fuel.
The Unit takes over at 1pm, then Burn Notice runs two consecutive episodes across 2pm and 3pm. Mercenary for Justice follows at 4pm, a 2006 actioner with Steven Seagal as a mercenary forced to break a crime lord’s son out of jail after his own friends are kidnapped; it splits for This Week Back Then at 4:56pm and finishes at 6pm. The Unit and Burn Notice then repeat the same three episodes from 6pm, ahead of tonight’s film.
GREAT! Action tonight — primetime and the evening schedule
Here’s the GREAT! Action primetime line-up for tonight, Monday 10 August 2026.
The Unit — GREAT! Action, 6pm
The Unit opens the evening at 6pm, a repeat of the episode shown earlier in the afternoon.
Burn Notice — GREAT! Action, 7pm & 8pm
Burn Notice runs back-to-back from 7pm and 8pm, both repeats of the episodes shown that afternoon.
Kingdom Of Heaven — GREAT! Action, 9pm
Kingdom Of Heaven takes the 9pm slot: Ridley Scott’s 2005 Crusades epic, with Orlando Bloom as a blacksmith drawn into the defence of Jerusalem alongside Eva Green, Jeremy Irons and Liam Neeson. It’s a bigger production than this channel usually runs, more used to leaner action vehicles and 1980s westerns. The film pauses for This Week Back Then at 9:56pm and picks up again at 10:01pm, running through to midnight.
What kind of films are on GREAT! Action
Classic westerns and action icons
The channel advertises itself as the home of John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren, and for once the marketing is accurate. Westerns from the 1930s to the 1960s take up most of the daylight hours, series as well as films, with Tombstone Territory and The High Chaparral in heavy rotation. After that come the 1980s and ’90s action vehicles, built around a small and very dependable cast list.
Contemporary action and thrillers
Evenings go harder on star names, usually one bigger studio picture with a leaner independent thriller either side of it. Most had a cinema release before they arrived here.
Anime, rescue documentaries and reality strands
Since around August 2024 the overnight hours have gone to things that are not films at all: Dragon Ball Super, and rescue documentaries such as Coast Guard Alaska and Air Rescue. The evening slots have so far been left alone.

Verdict
GREAT! Action costs nothing to watch and needs no sign-up. Monday’s daytime schedule runs from a 1943 submarine classic through to Steven Seagal’s mercenary picture at teatime, a solid stretch for anyone who likes old-fashioned combat with their history. The evening belongs to one film.
Kingdom Of Heaven at 9pm is the reason to tune in tonight. Ridley Scott’s Crusades epic is a rare studio-scale outing for this channel, even though the five-minute This Week Back Then break splits it in two. The Unit and Burn Notice earlier in the evening repeat the same episodes shown that afternoon, so viewers who caught them the first time can go straight to primetime.
