ITV2 TV Guide: Listings, Schedule & What’s On ITV2 Tonight

Tonight at a Glance 10 programmes · 6pm–1am

ITV2 has been ITV’s channel for the 16-34 crowd since December 1998, and since the 2015 Love Island revival it has essentially been the Love Island channel. Free on Freeview, free to stream live on ITVX. With Love Island off air, Monday 24 August 2026 hands ITV2’s evening to gameshows and reality rather than a film: Celebrity Catchphrase opens at 6pm, The Floor’s grand finale follows at 7pm, and The 1% Club Rollover takes the 8pm hour. A new episode of The Only Way Is Essex airs at 9pm, then three episodes of Family Guy and a closing American Dad! carry the schedule through to half past midnight.

What’s on ITV2 today

Monday’s ITV2 day opens on overnight reruns — two helpings of American Dad!, then Plebs, G’wed and Changing Ends — before Teleshopping fills the 3am slot. Backyard Builds gets the schedule properly under way at 6am, Dress to Impress follows at 6:30am, and the channel’s US reality imports take over from 7:30am with Real Housewives of Potomac followed by Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The Only Way Is Essex holds the mid-morning slot at 9:15am with a series 31 repeat, ahead of Dawson’s Creek at 10:15am and Charmed at 11:10am. Deal or No Deal opens the afternoon at 12:10pm, Celebrity Supermarket Sweep follows at 1:10pm, and an older run of The Floor airs at 2:10pm before a second TOWIE repeat at 3:10pm. The Real Housewives double returns from 4:10pm, running through to 6pm and the start of tonight’s proper primetime schedule.

ITV2 tonight — primetime and the evening schedule

No film tonight on ITV2. Instead Monday 24 August 2026 is a straight run of gameshows, reality and comedy reruns from 6pm through to half past midnight.

Celebrity Catchphrase — ITV2, 6pm

Stephen Mulhern is back in the host’s chair for a charity edition, with Colin Salmon joining Brian Conley and Sue Perkins to have a go at saying what they see. It’s the opener of this run of celebrity specials.

The Floor — ITV2, 7pm

This is the grand finale of the current series. Rob Brydon hosts as the nine players left standing go head-to-head for a £50,000 jackpot, each one having to survive a challenge on their own patch of the studio floor to stay in the game.

The 1% Club Rollover — ITV2, 8pm

Lee Mack’s quiz spin-off is billed by the feed as series one, episode one. Anyone who clears the notorious one-per-cent question can come back and play again for a prize that climbs as high as £500,000.

The Only Way Is Essex — ITV2, 9pm

A genuinely new episode, series 38 and the eighth of the run — not to be confused with the series 31 repeats the channel also airs at 9:15am and 3:10pm today. Joe’s outburst over the engagement leaves him trying to smooth things over with Lauren and Junaid, while Dani and Jonnie hit another rocky patch of their own.

Three episodes of Family Guy — ITV2, 10pm to 11:35pm

Three back-to-back episodes carry the late slot: Peter strikes up an unlikely friendship with Bill Clinton at 10pm, the Griffins open a restaurant at 10:35pm, and a neighbourhood watch scheme lands Peter in trouble at 11:05pm.

American Dad! — ITV2, 11:35pm

A single episode closes the night. A mugging leaves Roger convinced he needs to toughen up, so he signs up for the Police Academy — and ends up falling in with an officer of distinctly dubious character.

What kind of shows are on ITV2

Reality TV and dating formats

Love Island is what the channel is built around, but the daytime schedule runs on the same fuel at lower stakes: Dress to Impress, Dinner Date, TOWIE, and imported American Real Housewives by the yard. Most of it is repeated within the same day, which tells you how it is meant to be watched.

Comedy and US animation

Family Guy, American Dad! and Bob’s Burgers hold up the late-night schedule. None of it is exclusive to ITV2 and none of it is new, but there is enough of it in circulation that a rerun is on somewhere between 11pm and 3am most nights.

Family films

Weekend evenings usually go to animated and studio comedy films, the Ice Age and Madagascar sort of thing.

How to watch ITV2

Channel numbers

Here’s where to find ITV2 across the main UK television platforms:

Platform Channel
Freeview 6
Sky 118
Virgin Media 115
Freesat 113
ITV2+1 on Freeview 29
ITV2+1 on Sky 218
ITV2+1 on Virgin Media 315

ITV2 is free on all of the above platforms, no subscription required.

Streaming online

ITV2 streams live and free through ITVX, ITV’s streaming service, at itv.com/watch and via the ITVX app on smart TVs, iOS, Android, Amazon Fire TV and most games consoles. You’ll need a free ITVX account, which takes a couple of minutes to set up and costs nothing. Full episodes of Love Island, Family Guy and most other ITV2 shows are also available on demand shortly after broadcast.

ITV2 +1 and sister channels

ITV2+1 repeats the schedule an hour behind, which is the fix for sitting down at 9.15pm and finding you have missed the opening. Numbers are in the table above. Beyond the timeshift channel, ITV2 sits alongside ITV1, ITV3 and ITV4, and a show premiering on ITV1 will often turn up on ITV2 later.

Frequently asked questions

What channel is ITV2 on Freeview?

ITV2 is on Freeview channel 6, with ITV2+1 on channel 29. Both are free with no subscription.

What channel is ITV2 on Sky, Virgin Media and Freesat?

Sky channel 118, Virgin Media 115, and Freesat 113. ITV2+1 sits on 218, 315 and 114 respectively.

What’s on ITV2 tonight?

Monday’s line-up is gameshow and reality led rather than a film night: Celebrity Catchphrase at 6pm, The Floor’s grand finale at 7pm, The 1% Club Rollover at 8pm, then a new episode of The Only Way Is Essex at 9pm. Three episodes of Family Guy and a single American Dad! see the schedule out to half past midnight.

What time is Love Island on ITV2?

9pm every night from Sunday to Friday during the main series. Saturdays get Love Island: Unseen Bits instead of a new episode, because the Islanders get the day off from filming.

Can I watch ITV2 free on ITVX?

Yes, ITV2 streams live and free on ITVX with no subscription needed, just a free account.

Verdict

With Love Island still off air, Monday’s ITV2 leans entirely on format television: Celebrity Catchphrase and The Floor’s grand finale carry the early evening, The 1% Club Rollover holds the 8pm hour, and a genuinely new episode of The Only Way Is Essex closes out the Junaid and Lauren fallout at 9pm.

There’s no film to anchor the night, but the run of gameshows does the same job, and TOWIE gives the schedule a proper focal point rather than just filling time. Stay on past 9pm and it’s the Family Guy triple that carries you to midnight — comfort viewing rather than appointment television, but reliable with it.

TV Radar Team is the byline on TV Radar's automatically generated TV guides — covering BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1, Channel 4, Channel 5 and beyond. Each evening's schedule is built from the published listings (titles, start times, run lengths and episode numbers) and checked against our listings data before publication, so you can decide in two minutes what to record and what to skip. These guides are generated automatically rather than written by hand; a human editor spot-checks them, but not every page is read before it goes live. Based in London, updated every day.
