More4 is Channel 4’s factual and lifestyle channel: property shows, food formats and the fly-on-the-wall documentaries that would crowd out the main channel’s schedule. It launched on 10 October 2005 and has been free to air since 6 May 2008, when it dropped the subscription requirement it had briefly carried on satellite. Monday’s schedule opens with Surgeons: Life in Their Hands at 12:05am (series 1, episode 2), then two episodes of 24 Hours in A&E run back to back from 1:10am, followed by an A Place in the Sun repeat at 3:20am. Two editions of Discover Must Have Ideas: Shopping fill the rest of the night from 3:50am through to just before 9am, broken only by Find It, Fix It, Flog It at 8:55am.

Five episodes of Four in a Bed then carry the schedule from 10am to 12:40pm, when five instalments of Come Dine with Me take over until 3:20pm. A second run of five Four in a Bed episodes fills the rest of the afternoon into early evening, running up to 5:50pm, when a Car S.O.S double bill opens the evening ahead of tonight’s primetime.

Ken Bruce takes five famous faces through the show’s familiar gauntlet of music-trivia rounds — Shaun Ryder, Kéllé Bryan and Patsy Kensit among them, alongside Dougie Vipond and Carol Decker — whittling them down to two finalists who face the Original PopMaster segment. Whoever gets through that has a shot at the gold disc, PopMaster’s long-running prize for a spotless run through the questions. 24 Hours in A&E — More4, 10pm
