It launched on 10 October 2005 and has been free to air since 6 May 2008, when it dropped the subscription requirement it had briefly carried on satellite. Sunday’s More4 schedule runs to 26 slots built from just ten different programmes, several repeating back to back through the day ahead of the evening’s run of documentaries and factual formats.

The overnight schedule carries on from Saturday night, opening with 999: On the Front Line at 12:05am (series 5, episode 8) and two episodes of 24 Hours in A&E from 1:10am. The Perfect Pitch airs at 3:20am, then Discover Must Have Ideas: Shopping fills the rest of the night and early morning, running through until Grand Designs: Living in the City takes over at 8:55am.
