More4 is Channel 4’s factual and lifestyle channel: property shows, food formats and the fly-on-the-wall documentaries that would crowd out the main channel’s schedule. It launched on 10 October 2005 and has been free to air since 6 May 2008, when it dropped the subscription requirement it had briefly carried on satellite. Friday’s More4 schedule runs to 28 slots built from a dozen different programmes, with two long Four in a Bed blocks doing most of the heavy lifting before the evening turns over to cars, a self-build and back-to-back documentary.

Overnight opens with 999: On the Front Line just after midnight, then two editions of 24 Hours in A&E from 1:15am, The Perfect Pitch at 3:25am and a long stretch of Discover Must Have Ideas: Shopping carrying the channel through to breakfast. Find It, Fix It, Flog It closes out the morning at 8:55am.

Four in a Bed then runs in two separate five-episode blocks rather than one long stretch. The first fills the late morning from 10am and reaches its own payment day at 12:10pm. 24 Hours in A&E — More4, 10:05pm

24 Hours in A&E opens its two-episode close to the night at 10:05pm, treating a 13-year-old brought in after a bike collision (series 10, episode 23).

24 Hours in A&E — More4, 11:10pm

The second instalment follows at 11:10pm, this time a 75-year-old patient with a dangerously fast heart rate (series 10, episode 22) — episode 23 before episode 22, so the pair run out of their usual order tonight.
