Friday’s More4 schedule leans heavily on a handful of returning strands repeated many times over, and daytime is almost entirely given over to the same property and food formats as usual.

Overnight, 999: On the Front Line leads into two 24 Hours in A&E episodes, then Supermarkets Unwrapped: The Freezer Aisle and the High Street shopping strand carry things through from 3:55am.

Four in a Bed then runs five episodes back to back from 8:55am, Come Dine with Me follows with five more through to 2:15pm, and a further five Four in a Bed episodes fill the afternoon, before two Car S.O.S. episodes run into tonight’s primetime. See below.

Coastal Unit — More4, 9pm

A new French-language crime drama from the Walter Presents strand gets its opening episode, following an unconventional veteran officer and a sharp young recruit working cases out of a coastal precinct in the south of France. Subtitled, not dubbed.

24 Hours in A&E — More4, 10:15pm

Two further episodes close the night from 10:15pm, cameras fixed around a hospital emergency department catching real cases as they come in, with no reconstructions.

This is the strand More4 is known for. 24 Hours in A&E and 999: On the Front Line both use the same method: fixed cameras, real emergencies, no reconstructions. Neither has changed that formula in over a decade of running.

Property and food formats

A Place in the Sun and Come Dine with Me anchor the daytime and early-evening schedule. One is about the fantasy of starting again somewhere warmer; the other is about strangers cooking for each other and being far too honest about the results. Four in a Bed does the same job for the B&B trade. Between them they account for most of what More4 broadcasts before 6pm.

Imported drama and classic comedy

Today’s daytime leans hard on that formula, with Four in a Bed and Come Dine with Me running fifteen episodes between them before Car S.O.S. and primetime even arrive.
