4seven is Channel 4’s catch-up channel. It commissions nothing. What it does instead is take whatever from across the Channel 4 stable (Channel 4, E4, More4 and Film4) got people talking over the previous seven days and put it out again, which is where the name comes from.

Overnight opens with Vengeance just after midnight, then a 999: What Happened Next repeat, a 24 Hours in A&E repeat and the property show Chateau DIY carry the schedule into a long teleshopping block from 5am to 9am.

A New Life in the Sun: Where Are They Now? opens the morning proper, followed by Find It, Fix It, Flog It and Help! We Bought a Village. Three editions of A Place in the Sun then run back to back through midday, before a five-episode Come Dine with Me Christmas block and a single Four in a Bed take the schedule into early evening, ahead of tonight’s line-up from 6pm.

24 Hours in A&E — 4seven, 9pm

A repeat visit to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre, cutting between separate patient cases and the staff dealing with all of them at once. Long-running and reliably absorbing, whichever hospital it’s filmed in.

999: What Happened Next — 4seven, 10pm

Two cases this time: a missing-persons investigation that begins with what looked like an ordinary night out, and a Hertfordshire fraud case built around conning older residents out of their savings.

Geordie Coppers — 4seven, 11pm

A repeat following neighbourhood officers on Tyneside through the ordinary caseload of the beat — thefts, disturbances, the calls that never make the evening news on their own.
