More4 is Channel 4’s factual and lifestyle channel: property shows, food formats and the fly-on-the-wall documentaries that would crowd out the main channel’s schedule. It launched on 10 October 2005 and has been free to air since 6 May 2008, when it dropped the subscription requirement it had briefly carried on satellite. What’s on More4 today

Tuesday’s More4 schedule runs to 28 slots built from a handful of unique programmes, and daytime is almost entirely given over to the same property/format strands as usual: Four in a Bed and Come Dine with Me carrying the morning into the afternoon.

Overnight, 999: On the Front Line takes the midnight slot, then two 24 Hours in A&E episodes and A Place in the Sun fill the small hours before the High Street shopping strand takes over from 3:50am. Four in a Bed restarts the proper schedule at 8:55am with five episodes running through to 11:35am.

Come Dine with Me takes over with five episodes through to 2:15pm, when Four in a Bed returns for a further five-episode run ending at 4:20pm. Car S.O.S. airs twice in the early evening before Grand Designs picks up the schedule the moment it ends. See below.

Kevin McCloud checks in on a self-build from the show’s twenty-fifth series, tracking the usual mix of ambitious architecture, blown budgets and grand plans measured against how the finished house actually turns out. A second Grand Designs follows immediately, this one from an earlier twenty-second series rather than a continuation of the build before it. More4 regularly pairs episodes from different series back to back instead of running one project through in order.

PopMaster TV — More4, 9pm

Ken Bruce hosts the television version of his long-running radio quiz, putting contestants through rounds on intros, charts and general pop knowledge for a modest cash prize. Despite the “New” flag and a synopsis describing a “brand new series,” this is the seventh heat of an already-running fifth series, not a launch.

24 Hours in A&E — More4, 10pm

More4’s flagship documentary strand returns with an episode from its fifteenth series, filmed on fixed cameras around a hospital’s emergency department and cut together with follow-up interviews with the patients and families involved. No reconstructions, no narrator doing the emotional work.

24 Hours in A&E — More4, 11:05pm

A second episode closes the night, this one drawn from the much more recent seventeenth series rather than continuing on from the 10pm instalment. The jump in series numbers reflects how More4 mixes older and newer runs of the documentary within the same evening rather than airing them in strict order.
