4seven is Channel 4’s catch-up channel. It commissions nothing. What it does instead is take whatever from across the Channel 4 stable (Channel 4, E4, More4 and Film4) got people talking over the previous seven days and put it out again, which is where the name comes from.

It launched on 4 July 2012, Channel 4’s first new linear channel since More4 in 2005, and the premise hasn’t changed since. Overnight, the film Nope leads into Crime Scene Cleaners and an early Emergency Helicopter Medics repeat, before Teleshopping takes over from 4:35am until 9am.

A New Life in the Sun, Find It, Fix It, Flog It and The Great B&B Challenge hold mid-morning, then three A Place in the Sun episodes and five Come Dine with Me episodes carry the schedule through the afternoon. Two more A Place in the Sun episodes take early evening up to 7pm.
