Loose Women 2026: When It’s On, Why It’s Off Air and Who Is on the Panel

Loose Women is on Monday 26 October at 12.30pm on ITV1, STV and UTV.

ITV’s lunchtime panel show has been on since September 1999. Since January 2026 it has run for about 30 weeks a year, at 12.30pm on ITV1, with no studio audience.

This page is rebuilt every day from the published broadcast schedule, so the answer above is the current one rather than whatever was true when it was written.

When is Loose Women usually on?

Loose Women goes out on ITV1 at 12.30pm and runs for an hour. In the autumn schedule we are seeing it on Monday to Thursday, and ITV1 +1, where you can get it, repeats each edition at 1.30pm.

The part that confuses people is not the time. It is the calendar. Until the end of 2025 the programme went out almost all year. From January 2026, ITV put it on a seasonal pattern of about 30 weeks, which roughly follows the school terms. That means long gaps, the summer one included, and the hour it normally occupies is given to other programmes.

Why is Loose Women not on today?

Most of the time the answer is simply that this is one of the 22 weeks a year the show is not scheduled. When ITV announced its cuts to daytime in 2025, the headline numbers were 30 weeks on air a year, a lower budget, the end of the studio audience and a move to central London. It is also made by a different production company now.

When will Loose Women be back on ITV?

The summer is the longest gap. The last episode before the 2026 summer break went out on Friday 17 July, and Kaye Adams told viewers it would be back in September. While the show is away, the hour is filled by other programmes.

Two other things can knock it off a given day. A big live event on ITV1 will always take priority, and a missing day inside a normal week is nearly always a schedule swap rather than a sign of anything worse. If it matters, look at what’s on TV tonight and the ITV1 listings for that day, because the daytime listings tend to be confirmed late.

Has Loose Women been axed?

No, and it is worth being plain about that because the search results suggest otherwise. What was axed was part of the year. Fewer weeks on air means fewer episodes, fewer staff and no live audience, which is a real loss to the character of the show. A programme that has been on since 6 September 1999 is not, though, being cancelled.

A source linked to ITV has said the lack of an audience does not necessarily mean it will never come back, though it would not look the same. We have found no date for any return.

The 2026 panel

The show works as a rotating panel instead of a fixed line-up, with a presenter in the chair and a different mix of women around the table through the week. In the 2026 episodes we have been able to check, those taking part include Kaye Adams, Coleen Nolan, Judi Love, Brenda Edwards, Kéllé Bryan, GK Barry and Oti Mabuse. Other regulars appear less often.

Denise Welch announced on 13 August 2026 that she is leaving after roughly 25 years on and off, saying she wants to concentrate on acting.

Is Linda Robson still on Loose Women?

Linda Robson has not been on the panel for some time. She did two stints, 2012 to 2018 and 2020 onwards, and ITV has not said she has left. Reference listings put her last appearance in July 2025, so treat any return as unconfirmed until ITV says otherwise.

What happens on the show

The format is a studio panel talking about the day’s news, health, relationships and celebrity gossip, usually with a guest in the second half. It is deliberately chatty and interrupts itself. The mix runs from serious debate to light gossip within the same hour. That range, and the willingness of the women to disagree with each other on air, is the reason it has survived a quarter of a century.

What is Loose Men?

Loose Men is a one-day rename rather than a show of its own. On 19 November 2020, to mark International Men’s Day, an all-male panel took the seats. Later editions have brought in male panels, among them Vernon Kay, Mike Tindall and Ore Oduba, but the programme has returned to its usual title each time. The 2020 edition was anchored by Marvin Humes.

Catching up on ITVX and ITV1 +1

Recent episodes are on ITVX once they have aired. Because the show now takes long breaks, ITVX is the easiest place to catch up when there is nothing on the live channel. ITV1 +1 handles the same-day catch-up in the afternoon. For the other big shows we keep track of, see our TV shows page.

How to watch Loose Women

On television it is an ITV1 programme. Online, every episode is on ITVX at no cost, and episodes stay there for the usual catch-up window.

Why is Loose Women not on TV today?

Since January 2026 the show has run for about 30 weeks a year instead of the whole year, so it now has long breaks, including a summer one. The most recent summer break began after the episode of 17 July 2026. On days when it is not scheduled, ITV fills the hour with other programmes.

Has Loose Women been axed?

No. ITV cut the number of weeks it goes out, dropped the studio audience and moved production, but the show itself has not been cancelled and is still at 12.30pm on ITV1.

When will Loose Women be back on ITV?

Kaye Adams told viewers on the last show before the summer break that it would return in September, and it is back on the ITV1 schedule this autumn. During term-time weeks it follows its usual lunchtime slot; the weeks off are not published far in advance, so check the listings for the week you want.

Is Linda Robson still on Loose Women?

ITV has not announced that she has left. She was a panellist from 2012 to 2018 and again from 2020, but reports say she has not been on the panel for a good while, and her return has not been confirmed either way.

What is Loose Men?

Loose Men is the name the programme took for one day on 19 November 2020, when an all-male panel took over for International Men’s Day. The idea has come back for later International Men’s Days with new male panels, but it has never become a separate series.

Is Loose Women on ITV1 +1?

Yes, where ITV1 +1 is carried: it shows each edition an hour later, at 1.30pm. Episodes are also available on ITVX after broadcast.
