Watch: What’s On TV Tonight

Early Evening

Strictly: It Takes Two – BBC Two, 6.30pm

Ellie Taylor is back with the week’s rehearsal-room news, checking in on the celebrities as they prepare for the weekend. It is the sensible warm-up if you are following the series, and BBC Two follows it with Celebrity Antiques Road Trip at 7pm, where Lloyd Griffith and Rhys James tour Wales and the south west.

Ticket to Paradise – Film4, 6.55pm

George Clooney and Julia Roberts play a divorced couple who team up to stop their daughter marrying a man she has known five minutes, on a Bali holiday. It is a wine-in-the-garden kind of romcom, easy and sunny, with the pair doing most of the heavy lifting. Film4 follows with Lisa Frankenstein at 9pm and Jennifer’s Body at 11.05pm.

Hollyoaks – E4, 7pm

Mercedes is not having the birthday she hoped for, and Imran finally finds Lucas in Chester, where a chase turns risky. Hollyoaks is on E4, with Brooklyn Nine-Nine at 7.30pm and First Dates at 8pm to carry on the evening.

Invasion of the E-Bikes: Scourge of Our Streets? – Channel 5, 7pm

A look at how the e-bike boom got away from regulators, and why the illegal, high-speed versions are now a worry on pavements and cycle paths. A topical hour for anyone who has dived out of the way of a silent rider. Channel 5 has Murder Scene at 8pm and Cause of Death at 9pm after it.

EastEnders – BBC One, 7.30pm

Half an hour of Albert Square, as it is every Monday to Thursday. The weekly soap timetable is in our guide to when the soaps and big shows are on.

Tipping Point: Best Ever Finals – ITV1, 7.30pm

Denise Van Outen plays for 20,000 pounds for charity, while a broker named Darren faces a high-risk trade with everything on the line. A friendly half hour, and the charity money adds a bit of nerve. ITV2 has Ant & Dec’s Limitless Win at 7pm and a 1% Club rollover with Lee Mack at 8pm.

Prime Time

The Repair Shop: Beyond the Barn – BBC One, 8pm

Mark Stuckey restores a 1970s portable music system, Richard Talman rebuilds a signet ring, and Pete Woods deals with a large crack in a djembe drum. The drum is the one to watch, because a split in a skin instrument is a delicate fix. For more of the format, Quest has the original Repair Shop at 10pm with a toy cannon and a broken statue.

Emmerdale – ITV1, 8pm

Sadie is scheming again and Nicola leans on Bob. Emmerdale also finds Matty being offered a room by Moira, with Belle sensing trouble.

Coronation Street – ITV1, 8.30pm

The prosecution begins its case at Sarah’s murder trial, which should keep the cobbles tense. Debbie tells Abi what she fears about Ronnie, and Sam takes stick from his schoolmates. Coronation Street then hands over to Winter at 9pm.

Portrait Artist of the Year – Sky Arts, 8pm

Heat two of series 13 has nine artists tackling Louis Theroux, Anthony Scaramucci and Joanna Scanlan, with Stephen Mangan presenting and Jonathan Yeo, Eva Langret and Katy Hessel judging. Four hours for one face is brutal. Sky Arts follows with a Landscape Artist of the Year celebrity special at 9pm, set in Whitstable.

The Lost City of Sanxingdui – BBC Four, 8pm

A lost Bronze Age city in China’s Sichuan province gave up bronze objects unlike anything else from ancient China. Later, The Planets with Brian Cox is on at 9pm. Blaze has What on Earth? at 9pm and 4seven repeats 24 Hours in A&E.

Location, Location, Location – Channel 4, 8pm

Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer search south London for one couple who need room for a blended family, and another hunting around Clapham and Balham. As ever, the interesting part is how fast the budget bends. More4 has Scotland’s Golden Coast at 9pm if you want scenery.

Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators – U&Alibi, 8pm

Mark Benton and Jo Joyner play the Stratford-upon-Avon private investigators. Gentle, a bit silly, fine for a weeknight.

Sister Boniface Mysteries – Drama, 8pm

A killer scarecrow causes havoc at the village Scarecrow Festival, and the nun with a forensics lab on the side gets to work. Drama follows with Father Brown at 9pm, where anarchist performers arrive in Kembleford and Mrs McCarthy is unimpressed.

Midsomer Murders – ITV3, 8pm

A local aristocrat seems to die of a heart attack until his will vanishes, which is the point where Barnaby starts paying attention. ITV3 has a long crime evening, with Downton Abbey at 10pm. Elsewhere, 5USA has Law & Order: Organized Crime at 9pm, 5Action has Police Interceptors and Talking Pictures TV has Van der Valk at 8.05pm.

Winter – ITV1, 9pm ⭐

This is the one to watch. Richard Armitage plays Dr Ethan Winter, a pathologist who has turned unofficial investigator, working alongside Annabel Scholey’s DI Bell in Bristol. Episode three begins with Benjamin and Molly Draper, a married pair, shot dead, and Winter spots that Molly was gone a good thirty minutes before her husband. That single detail wrecks the obvious story, and the mystery grows from there.

What I like is that the drama trusts its pathology. Instead of a chase, it wants you to look closely at a body and read it, and Armitage is good at wounded, careful men who say little. If you missed the first two episodes, they are on ITVX, but this is a self-contained case, so you can start tonight without being lost.

Who Do You Think You Are? – BBC One, 9pm

Rose Ayling-Ellis, the actress and campaigner, chases a family rumour of Italian roots on her dad’s side. It is the sort of episode where a small rumour can open a whole country’s worth of history. Really has Mary Berry’s episode at 10pm, and Yesterday has Saving Lives at Sea at 9pm.

The Book That Changed My Life – BBC Two, 9pm

Queen Camilla joins four guests to talk about books that shaped them, as part of the UK’s National Year of Reading 2026. She discusses her own love of reading, and the contributors include someone who found books while in prison and another who was helped by a local book club. It is a small-scale, earnest hour, and the personal stories are the draw.

Grand Designs – Channel 4, 9pm

Kevin McCloud calls on Chris and Gill, whose old Huddersfield-area cloth mill was a conversion project when he first met them in 2001. Twenty-five years is long enough for a house to reveal whether the dream held up. These return visits are often more honest than the original build.

Rob and Romesh vs Kung Fu in China – Sky One, 9pm

Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan go to China to try martial arts, which is a good way to make two comedians suffer for our amusement. Expect bruised egos.

Lisa Frankenstein – Film4, 9pm

Kathryn Newton plays a teenager who falls for a reanimated corpse, in a brightly coloured 1980s-set comedy horror from the writer of Juno. The films crowd 9pm tonight: Legend has Tears of the Sun with Bruce Willis, ITV4 has RoboCop 3, 5Star has Pitch Black, GREAT! Action has Steven Seagal in Out of Reach, and GREAT! TV has The Legend of Zorro.

QI XL – Dave, 9pm

Sandi Toksvig hosts the extended cut, on the UK and US relationship, with Kemah Bob, Alex Edelman, David Mitchell and Alan Davies on the panel. Dave runs two Would I Lie to You? episodes from 7.40pm, so it is a good night for comedy panels.

Late Night

Fellow Travelers – Channel 4, 10pm

This drama follows two men, played by Jonathan Bailey and Matt Bomer, whose romance begins in Washington DC in the 1950s, at the height of the McCarthy era. It then spans decades of American history. It is intimate and tense, with the threat of exposure in every scene, and Channel 4 shows a second episode at 11.25pm.

The Singing Detective – BBC Four, 10.15pm

Dennis Potter’s 1986 serial begins with Michael Gambon as Philip Marlow, a writer confined to a hospital bed, whose imagination slides into the pulp detective he once wrote. Alison Steadman, Patrick Malahide and Janet Suzman are in the cast. A short Janet Suzman Remembers programme precedes it at 10pm, and episode two follows at 11.25pm. Forty years on, it still looks like nothing else.

Sport

The big match is Manchester City v Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League, with coverage on TNT Sports 1 from 7pm and kick-off at 8pm. Highlights follow on BBC One at 10.40pm. In the Championship, Lincoln City v West Ham United kicks off at 8pm on Sky Sports Main Event. In cricket, India face West Indies in the fourth of five men’s T20 internationals, in Hyderabad, from 2.15pm on TNT Sports 1. ITV4 has English Football League highlights at 11.40pm. More fixtures are on football on TV today, and Manchester City on TV and cricket on TV have more.

For football, Manchester City v PSG is the match, with highlights on BBC One later. EastEnders is on at 7.30pm, as it is every Monday to Thursday.

TV Radar Team

TV Radar Team is the byline on TV Radar's automatically generated TV guides — covering BBC One, BBC Two, ITV1, Channel 4, Channel 5 and beyond. Each evening's schedule is built from the published listings (titles, start times, run lengths and episode numbers) and checked against our listings data before publication, so you can decide in two minutes what to record and what to skip. These guides are generated automatically rather than written by hand; a human editor spot-checks them, but not every page is read before it goes live. Based in London, updated every day.
