What happens in the final?
Six contestants are left as the end of the trek comes into view. The listings say they are offered a way out first: a flight home before the finish, which would mean leaving without their cut of what is left in the pot. After that comes the most lavish temptation of the series, a stay in a millionaire’s mansion with proper food and the home comforts they have gone without for the whole trip. The players the group trusts least are the ones handed control of the mansion offer.
Rob Beckett then has one more twist for the last stretch. Only when the walkers reach the finish do they learn how much of the money has survived. We stop there and will not give away the result.

Twelve strangers set off through the Malaysian jungle with only basic kit and rations. The group holds one shared prize fund, which started at 300,000 pounds for series 3. Along the way they are offered comforts they badly want, and any of them can say yes. Each yes is paid for out of the shared money, so one person’s treat costs everybody. Whatever remains at the end of the walk is the prize.
